National Beta School of Merit!

MISSION STATEMENT - To promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and

                                      leadership among elementary and secondary school students.

ACHIEVEMENT - Recognizing and honoring high academic achievement
CHARACTER - Preparing young people for life and empowering them to be successful
LEADERSHIP - Developing the leaders of tomorrow
SERVICE - Demonstrating our motto: Let Us Lead by Serving Others

  The new member induction has been postponed until fall semester, date TBD.

Pennies for Patients was a HUGE success!  

CMS met our goal of raising $7,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society!

1st place - Mr. Ware's homeroom gets and Olive Garden catered lunch!

2nd place - Mrs. Miles' homeroom will get a pizza party or breakfast

3rd place - Senora McDonough's homeroom will get a pzza party of breakfast.

 
2019/2020 Club meetings

1st meeting: Students should report to 2nd load, THEN go to the Media Center AFTER 2nd load (teachers have duties before then).  Meetings END at 4:30.

* Pickup is in the bus lanes at 4:30.

September 11th:  LLS Pennies for Patients(video link) kickoff speaker

October 2nd:   Prepping, poster-making for Pennies for Patients                                     & Cape Day for CHOA

          CAPE DAY(video link): *Friday, October 4th  -Wear a cape &                                                         bring $2 to support CHOA!

November 13th:  We are Thankful 

      *Bring in 2 canned good or non-perishables to help provide 

             food for the holidays to someone in need.

       *We will make cards to thank those who have made a

         difference in our lives. (a family member, friend, teacher, etc.)

       *Dec. 14th -  Volunteer opportunity (Scroll down for more info.)

February 12th: Make Valentines for school staff, and friends!

                             STEM night service info. announced and discussed.

April 1st:   Service Hour Logs are due!

MAY - INVITATION ONLY - End of year Service hours party for those who volunteer 18 or more hours of their time to the service of others AND turned in their time sheets at the April meeting.
